Transvestites Marriage

It is interesting to note that many transvestites are happily married, and yet others, have not informed their marriage partner of their desires to cross dress and may need a marriage lawyer when they do.

Many transvestites never did understand their urge to cross dress and went into marriage without informing their spouse. When they do come out, they often need a marriage lawyer as well as a counselor. Many partners can become understanding as long as they realize that it is not a gay marriage they have entered into. So what exactly is a gay marriage and when is a marriage considered a gay marriage and when is it not?

Most transvestites are not gay and do not seek a gay marriage but want a heterosexual marriage. This is because they really are heterosexual and just feel the urge to wear the opposite sex clothing; this does not necessarily mean they are looking for a gay marriage. Many partners when they find out their partner is a cross dresser, become afraid of them also trying to have a gay marriage. This is why a marriage lawyer and a marriage counselor may be needed.

It's very difficult for a transvestite to come out because of this misconception. The marriage lawyer and marriage counselor can often help both parties to understanding. The transvestite has many road blocks in the marriage to over come, they need to be able to make sure their partner still feels wanted and needed and that the intimacy they have shared is real.

A transvestite is usually not gay, if they are they may eventually seek out transition. This is another occasion to seek out a marriage lawyer because as the partner becomes the opposite sex, the marriage becomes a gay marriage and may be illegal. The couple can move to those states that may accept gay marriage, but because their state may not accept gay marriages, the marriage may then be invalid.

If the transvestite has been married for a long period of time without informing the spouse, the spouse may already be subconsciously aware. Tread carefully if this is the case, as the spouse may find it extremely difficult to accept openly the transvestite state, and again, a marriage lawyer and counselor are suggested.

There are many spouses who with understanding accept their spouse as a transvestite and never do seek out a gay marriage lawyer but instead assist their loved ones in fulfilling their urge to cross dress. If at all possible, a couple such as this should seek out or start a volunteer group to assist other couples in understanding what a marriage counselor and marriage lawyer may be able to do to assist integration of the cross dressers urges. This may not be a gay marriage but a different kind of help is needed.

According to how long the couple has been married may dictate what a marriage lawyer will seek for the assumed injured party. If counseling does not work, the injured party may seek out more and it is vital that both parties engage a marriage lawyer independently. The transvestite is liable to feel guilty and can easily be taken advantage of in divorce proceedings, and of course, the spouse may be angry and hurt due to misunderstanding what a transvestite really is
